Shota has been a member Georgian Bar Association since 2011 and carries out legal activities. He is also a patent attorney certified by the National Intellectual Property Center of Georgia – “Sakpatenti” since 2013 and works in the field of registration and protection of trademarks.
Experience
Shota’s work experience includes, but is not limited to, foreign direct investment, litigation, wine and spirits, construction and licence, administrative disputes, corporate law. He also successfully operates and participates in criminal cases.
His experience in energy industry, in particular, in the electricity market, is worthy of a separate mention, which includes extensive experience in the field of electricity transmission and dispatching, distribution, regulatory and tariff activities, as well as renewable energy facilities and the electricity wholesale market.
Since 2021, Shota is a certified trade representative of the Georgian Energy Exchange – GENEX.
Education
Shota Metreveli received a master’s degree from the Riga Graduate School of Law, and also earned an MBA in Business Administration graduating from the American College of Thessaloniki, Greece. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Tbilisi Iv. Javakhishvili State University. He is the author of a number of scientific legal works.
